I graduated from Keele University in 1996 with A BSc Honours degree in Physiotherapy.
I currently have 24 years experience in musculoskeletal physiotherapy and have worked in many different settings including NHS hospitals, Private Hospitals, Private Practice and Sports Clinics.
In 2000 I became an Extended Scope Practitioner within an NHS Hospital. In this role I have developed my assessment and diagnostic skills and attended courses to enhance knowledge in many different areas. I gained a Diploma in Injection Therapy which enables me to perform pain relieving steroid injections. I have attended courses to enable me to request x-rays, scans and blood tests to ensure an accurate diagnosis.
In 2001 I gained further qualifications to enable me to practise Acupuncture. I qualified in TCM (traditional chinese medicine) which is an all encompassing holistic approach to illness and injury and takes into account work/home/environmental stresses, diet and exercise habits. This information results in a unique treatment tailor made to every individual.
I myself am hugely motivated by sports and fitness, and understand the psychological as well as physical impact an injury can have on an individual.
I graduated from the University of Essex in 2011 with an MSc in Physiotherapy.
I have gained experience across multiple disciplines including acute inpatients, orthopaedics and paediatrics before specialising in musculoskeletal physiotherapy. I have worked within NHS and private settings as well as being part of the physiotherapy team for the London 2012 opening and closing ceremonies medical team for both the Olympics and Paralympics.
I have undertaken APPI (Australian Physiotherapy and Pilates Institute) Matwork courses and Ante Natal and Post Natal Pilates courses. I integrate this into normal treatment sessions as well as instructing Pilates classes in small groups.
I have attended a variety of post graduate spinal courses and orthopaedic master classes. I am also interested in rheumatology and paediatric musculoskeletal conditions.
I take a holistic approach to treatment considering all aspects of an individual's life and how all factors may be impacting on their current symptoms. I also place an emphasis on education, ensuring you understand what is happening, as well as empowering you to help yourself to stop recurrent injury and flare ups where appropriate.

sense of relaxation as well.
